Tabalo Hostel Hanoi

The location is just perfect, in the very middle of the Old Quarter, close to thousands of food options, tour agencies, cafés, shops. Our room had a balcony, where you could look at the night market that takes place right there over the weekend. The staff was friendly and helpful, they do laundry in 24 hours for 35k per kilo. The beds are comfortable and clean, has privacy thanks to the curtains and they each have a pretty big storage space with shelves. It is more on the quiet side, not your party hostel, but has a cute vibe and there are tables and chairs to spend some time with others in the hall. The showers were OK, 2 stalls and 2 toilets in each floor I believe, but it didn't feel crowded. They give you towels, soap and shampoo and there were soap for handwashing near the sinks as well. They did clean regularly and overall it was a nice experience that I would do again when in Hanoi! :) Similar to all of the places we have been to in South East Asia so far, soundproofing it little to none and therefore can get loud. Not a problem for me as I have my earplugs at all times (a must have, I believe) but without it, being a light sleeper might be difficult. The bathroom can get a little smelly from all the steam and due to the lack of ventilation, but again, this is not the first time we experience this in the area.

Good location in the old quarter, close to everything and not a party hostel. Very well thought design beds, bunk beds are solid and plenty of spaces to lock your belongings. Staff was helpful The shower gets clogged up easy

This is my comfort hostel, whenever I go to Hanoi I stay here! This time the toilet was dirty and smelly. For all the days I stayed. Shower drain was clogged. Last time when I stayed on the month of July it was clean.

Hostel located in the heart of the Old Quarter of Hanoi and right down in the night market on weekends. Staff were really welcoming and helpful. I was able to drop off my luggage while waiting to check-in. The room were good and bed was nice ! Shower and bathroom were really clean! There is AC in the dorms but it can really be a shock to go out from your room to Hanoi hot and moisty air. Be careful of not getting AC-sick. There was a beginning of a black mold on the wall beside my bed, probably from the hot and humid air of Hanoi.

Great location. It is located in the street where night market takes place every weekend. Comfortable bed, you have your own privacy Just the bathroom since it is shared for both men and women. I think it should be better if separated.

The hostel was in the very center. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. You get some privacy in the dorms because of the curtains in the bed. The private fans, lockers an socket was great! People starting washing their clothes on the ground floor as early as 6 am and the noise of these machines is horrible. It kept us up even if we were on the 4th floor. Better regulations around quiet hours would be great.

Very clean, comfortable and nice staff, totally worth it!

Centrally located and the price is so low!. We booked for the whole trip to keep our belongings although we go to Sapa for few days.
