Vietnam, a land of diverse landscapes and cultural treasures, boasts a hidden gem that often escapes the radar of mainstream tourism – Hồ Tràm. Nestled along the southeastern coast, this coastal retreat is a haven for those seeking tranquility, pristine beaches, and a glimpse into the authentic Vietnamese way of life.

A Coastal Oasis

Hồ Tràm, located approximately two hours away from bustling Ho Chi Minh City, is a coastal oasis that captivates visitors with its untouched beauty. The journey itself is an adventure, taking you through lush landscapes and quaint villages, offering a glimpse into the rhythm of rural Vietnam.

The moment you arrive, the serene ambiance of Hồ Tràm envelops you. The expansive, unspoiled beaches stretch as far as the eye can see, inviting you to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Unlike some of the more popular tourist destinations, Hồ Tràm retains a sense of authenticity, making it a perfect retreat for travelers seeking a more intimate connection with nature.

Luxurious Resorts Amidst Nature

While Hồ Tràm embraces simplicity, it also offers a touch of luxury with its world-class resorts. These resorts seamlessly blend into the natural surroundings, providing a harmonious balance between opulence and the coastal environment.

InterContinental Grand Ho Tram stands out as a beacon of luxury, featuring Vietnam's largest casino, multiple restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, and a private beach area. The resort not only caters to those looking for entertainment but also provides a peaceful haven for relaxation, making it an ideal choice for a diverse range of travelers.

Culinary Delights

One cannot truly experience a destination without indulging in its culinary offerings. Hồ Tràm, despite its tranquil setting, surprises visitors with a diverse range of delectable dining options. From fresh seafood served by local vendors on the beach to the fine dining experiences within the resorts, the gastronomic journey in Hồ Tràm is a delightful exploration of Vietnamese flavors.

For a more immersive experience, venture into the nearby local markets and sample authentic street food. The vibrant colors and aromatic scents of dishes like bánh mì, phở, and fresh spring rolls create a sensory experience that reflects the soul of Vietnamese cuisine.

Exploring the Local Culture

Hồ Tràm provides a unique opportunity to connect with the local culture and traditions. The nearby villages offer a glimpse into the daily lives of the residents, where time seems to move at a slower pace. Engage with the friendly locals, learn about traditional crafts, and witness age-old rituals that have been passed down through generations.

A visit to Hồ Tràm is incomplete without exploring the neighboring areas, such as the Greg Norman designed golf course, The Bluffs. Whether you are an avid golfer or a casual enthusiast, the breathtaking views of the coastline from the course are sure to leave a lasting impression.

Sustainable Tourism

One of the charms of Hồ Tràm is its commitment to sustainable tourism practices. The resorts in the area often implement eco-friendly initiatives, including waste reduction, energy-efficient technologies, and support for local community projects. As a traveler, choosing Hồ Tràm aligns with a responsible and conscientious approach to tourism, contributing to the preservation of its natural beauty for generations to come.

A Resort for All Seasons

Hồ Tràm's charm transcends seasons, making it a year-round destination. Whether you visit during the sunny days of summer or prefer the tranquility of the monsoon season when the rain gently kisses the sandy shores, Hồ Tràm welcomes you with open arms.

Hồ Tràm stands as an uncharted paradise for travelers seeking a blend of tranquility, luxury, and cultural richness. As you explore the pristine beaches, savor local delicacies, and connect with the local community, you'll discover that Hồ Tràm is more than a destination – it's an immersive experience that lingers in your memory long after you depart.

Due to the pandemic, this was the 1st time after 7 months we’re able to travel again. Melia Ho Tram was in our list coz it’s only an 2-hour trip from HCMC. We had a great Christmas at Melia Ho Tram. Our kids love the activities there like outdoor movie, cookies workshop, art & craft… the 2 bedroom suite we stayed was very comfortable, nice and clean. The staffs are very friendly, professional and lovely. The pool, the beach are super. We had a very pleasant stay, and we’ll be back in the future

This is probably the most satisfied vacation we had in years. We have stayed in resorts across Vietnam and overseas, but this is definitely the place we will recommend to any families. It is not the newest resort in town, but the facilities are just what we need. They have 3 swimming pools with water playground for kids, a huge outdoor playground and a well designed indoor playground. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Restaurant is a bit pricey but the food is tasty!!

Solo traveller

Excellent resorts and spa hotels with all the comfort expected for the price. Few restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are inside the resorts. Spa and massage, 2 swimming pools plus private ones if you book a villa. The staff is really amazing, sweet, available, and helpful, especially Mr. Hieu Duc who was a great support during my stay. I hardly recommend this place if you looking for a peaceful and quiet area for your holidays.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s right on a clean beach but we spent most of time on the property. We loved the large salt water pool, the playground for our 4 year old, and the old structures. We did walk out of the resort on a road with open farms on one side and the forest on the other. We ate at the restaurant of the resort the entire time we were there. The food is decent and the breakfast buffet is excellent.
