Absolutely beautiful scenery from the balcony and from the restaurant. The location is perfect in the middle of Mai Chau. You can use free grandma style bikes. A carp pool in the middle of restaurant. Food is very good at the restaurant. Clean rooms with AC and a cabin shower. For me this kind of homestay is perfect. -

We spent two lovely nights at this homestay in Mai Chau, run by a very friendly and attentive family. The room was clean and comfortable, and is excellent value for money. When we arrived one of the family members booked a local guide from the village for us, to take us for a day trekking in the surrounding area. This was the best way to explore Mai Chau. We had breakfast and dinner at the homestay, where we ate some of the best food we had in Vietnam!

We absolutely loved our stay. The place is really charming, nicely decorated and not lacking in any comfort I would look for in a hotel (AC, fan, huge bed fitting an almost 2m tall adult, a comfortably firm mattress, two types of pillows for back and side sleepers...). The best thing - aside from the lovely owners - was that our room had a balcony overlooking the rice fields. The koi lake was fun, too! The breakfast was nice but continental - we would have loved a Vietnamese one instead, but that's just our taste

Good option to stay in Mai Chau. So nice to have breakfast outside in the morning watching the rice fields! Staff was kind and attentive. We had all our meals in their restaurant and we enjoyed it. Keep in mind that you are in the countryside. Don't expect too much luxury. Expect to wake up with roosters singing and meeting other animals around.

The food was delicious and there were so many options to choose from. Views from the room and social areas were beautiful - they look directly onto rice paddies! - and the location was perfect for getting around. They offer bikes and help you rent motobikes if that's what you want to do so you can explore everywhere. When we arrived, we were given a handmade map of the area to help us get around! The staff are so lovely, always smiling and around if you need any help. The room was so nice, clean and the views were so good. I would absolutely stay here again, no question!

Lovely family run homestay. Make you feel very welcomed straight away. Amazing view and good privacy from the balcony. Great free breakfast! Tucked away at the end of the village but also feels private and peaceful. Free bicycles to get around on!

If I could rate a hotel 11, then we would. This is a really lovely place to stay, the village of Tam lac is really beautiful, we were able to use the bikes from the homestay for free to explore the area also, which was great! The owners were super friendly and helped us with any questions. Room was super comfy, worth paying a little extra for the Mountain View room if you can! Breakfast also very good. Nothing - we loved it.

We were able to spend a comfortable time with the most beautiful rural scenery in Mai Chau and the warm hospitality of our staff, dog Chopper, and cat Cooker. I borrowed a bicycle from the hotel and wandered around the village. The people here lived a rich and happy life by growing crops and making good use of what they had. It was a thought-provoking sight for modern people, and it was the most impressive place during my trip to Vietnam. I was surprised that the handmade rack in the bathroom broke and the glass shampoo fell into pieces, but the staff immediately fixed it with a smile and did not make any unpleasant faces. Both breakfast and dinner were simple but delicious. This is a wonderful family-run inn. Recommended.
