Tge location of this place is very unique. I have stayed with many hotel by the lake, but it is very different when your hotel is on the hill surrounded by the lake. The windflow and the energy of this place is amazing. You don't need to go anywhere, the hotel itself can be the destination. The place also feel old school in the very best way, reminding me of memories when I was young. The Food, Expensive and does not taste good. Besides, the food at the hotel is the only option you have as there is nothing around.

Beautiful place! The location is great, very secluded and relaxing surrounding. Rooms were clean with amazing view of the Hoa Binh lake. Staff were nice and always helpful. We would give 10/10 if the food was good. Unfortunately this has been so far our worst food we have ever had in Vietnam. Tasteless and expensive. It's a pitty downgrade of such a nice place… :-(

It was relaxing and peaceful ishThe room was lovely and the view over the lake was marvellous. The shower was amazing. Also it was the only place that provided helmets for cycling.The pool was a delight. I think it may have reached 20m in length so you could properly swim. You do get the noise from the boats just next door early in the morning but then again that does make them very convenient for trips. The food is very expensive by Vietnamese standards but still cheaper than the UK. Our main problem was that there wasn't much you could do independently as the brakes on the bikes were poor and it's an 'undulating' area. Walking wasn't really an option unless you went along the roads. However if you just want to relax and make the most of the resort's activities then that would be fine. Having just come from the beautiful Pu Luong we really couldn't appreciate Mai chow as much as we would otherwise have done.

The location peaceful and isolated with the most beautiful mountain range in the background. One of the best locations in Vietnam you can experience. The price of the food was a bit expensive.

Amazing view. Super quiet. Very nice staff - who read your wishes from your eyes. Thanks a lot to Vinh Ngan and her team! The coordination of the kitchen could be better. The price/quality ratio of the restaurant was not good. We had much better dishes for that price in Vietnam.

Perfect hideaway for a couple of days. Staff is really friendly and helpful. The environment is breathtaking. Rooms are good and clean. Definitely worth to visit this resort.

The property was almost deserted so was extremely quiet. The food for dinner and breakfast was wonderful and worth the price. We stayed in Bungalow 120 beside the pool and had this mostly to ourselves. It may be noisy/ busy during peak times but during the off season was wonderful and quiet. There were mosquitos around in the evening and no mosquito net or flyscreens. A net over the bed would be a great addition as being directly on the water and not being able to open the windows to get the breeze was a shame.

One of the most gorgeous hidden property and area in Vietnam, still very untouched by tourists! Gorgeous villas, amazing pool view, great service It was a perfect stay The food and beer was too expensive! They can really tone it down There are restaurants outside of the hotel but they charge the same price as the hotel so not really left with at option but to eat there
