People working there are extremely nice, especially the bartender/chef/pool guy/driver. Beautiful nature and simple lodges. But you find everything you need and have a cozy feeling there, even when it is cold.

Really nice location, bit further away from the center. Room was really cozy. We rented a scooter at the ecolodge which was really useful to get around the island. Breakfast is not included in the price, not a problem but since it was everywhere else just something to have in mind

The location is so beautiful and the design of the lodge does it's best to blend in with the surroundings while still being nicely decorated. It's a little out of the way but that should be what you're going for if you're booking a place like this. The outdoor pool is so beautiful 😍 It's very difficult to close the windows of the rooms enough that they can't be opened from the outside, which makes them feel quite unsafe.

Nice place, a bit of a hassle to get anywhere from there. You need a motorbike or taxi which adds up price wise to get around this island. Very nice peaceful spot. Helpful staff. Food good.

Incredible spot, in the middle of the woods surrounded by nature. The cabin was facing the lake, if available, I would strongly recommend that option, it is worth the money. Staff was super helpful and nice. They booked everything for us at a very good price and provide guidance for the different trekkings. Swimingpool was great, clean and chill water, sun beds and also towels so you don’t need to bring yours from the bedroom. Food is a bit scarse and pricy. Understandable for the location but portions could be a bit bigger for the price you pay. Motorbikes for rent are quite old. The one we took needed an urgent renewal, had no lights and was the not powerfull enough for two people.

The lodge was a beautiful, rustic location that was just perfect. There were chickens, ducks, and a cow roaming about, and we were surrounded by jungle. It was wonderfully quiet. The manager also had some excellent suggestions for activities and was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The pool area could use some shade - maybe a big umbrella.

We had a lovely stay at The Eco Lodge! It is a peaceful and quiet area near Cat Ba Town (~20 mins by scooter). The hosts were lovely and helped us with shuttles, with planning a trip to Lan Ha bay and helped us out with whatever we needed. The motorbikes available for rent at the property are not amazing (weak breaks, old bikes), but the hosts are lovely and help as much as they can.

Incredible location. Really special. Must stay here if you want to get a real Cat Ba island Experience. We were picked up on motorbikes, we had air con, comfortable room, great views from the swimming pool and very beautiful butterflies, frogs and nature all around. The entire island lost power on the 2nd day for 8 hours or so. which made it very hard to escape the heat. Not their fault at all and staff made our lives as comfortable as possible while this happened. Check with the staff if you have a dodgy shower or anything, they are quite happy to accommodate.
