Bai Xep, also known as Xep Beach, is located in An Chan commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province, about 14 km north of Tuy Hoa city center. Although only about 500 m long, this beach is famous for its pristine and poetic beauty, adorned with fine golden sand, clear blue water, and unique undulating black rocky reefs. In particular, Bai Xep became a "million-loved" destination after appearing in the hit movie "I See Yellow Flowers on Green Grass" (2015), with scenes of lush green meadows and gentle beaches that captivated the audience.
Located between two large rocky reefs, Ganh Ong and Ganh Ba, Bai Xep boasts a harmonious terrain between mountains, sea, and meadows, creating a majestic yet peaceful natural picture. This place was voted by Business Insider as one of the 16 most attractive destinations in Asia, attracting domestic and foreign tourists with its unspoiled beauty that has not been overly commercialized.
Note: According to the latest information, Bai Xep has temporarily closed to visitors from September 30, 2024 to implement the Bai Xep beach tourism project by Sao Viet Company, with a planned area of 42.78 hectares. The project promises to bring a high-class resort space, combined with the conservation of the natural landscape. Visitors should check the official announcement before planning a visit.

From Tuy Hoa city, visitors can get to Bai Xep by the following means:
Motorbike:
Coastal Route: Follow Le Duan Street towards Tuy An district, about 14 km. This route is cool, with sea casuarina trees and peaceful countryside scenery on both sides.
National Highway 1A Route: Go north for about 12 km to Sao Viet intersection (An Chan commune), turn right into Sao Viet Tourist Area, pass through the fishing village and flower and vegetable fields to reach Bai Xep.
Car or Taxi: Takes about 20-25 minutes from Tuy Hoa, suitable for large groups or families.
Bus: The Tuy Hoa - Tuy An route will take you close to the area, then take a motorbike taxi about 5 km to Bai Xep.
Note: There is a parking lot in the area, priced at about VND 3,000-5,000/motorbike, VND 50,000/car. The road to Ganh Ong may be a bit sunny and slippery if it rains, so bring non-slip shoes.
Entrance Fee (before temporary closure): VND 20,000/adult, VND 10,000/child. Some times there is no entrance fee.
Opening Hours: Usually from 6:00 – 18:00 daily. To watch the sunrise, you should arrive early around 5:30.
Ideal Time to Visit: From February to August, when Phu Yen enters the dry season, the sun is golden, the sea is calm, and the weather is favorable for outdoor activities. In particular, February-March is mild, less crowded. Avoid the rainy season (September-November) because the roads are slippery and the sea is rough.
Watch the Sunrise and Sunset: From the top of Ganh Ong, you can admire the panoramic view of Bai Xep with a brilliant sunrise or a poetic sunset, ideal for taking photos.
Swim and Relax: The clear blue water and fine sand are suitable for swimming. However, be careful as there are currents and whirlpools in some areas.
Explore Ganh Ong and the Cactus Beach: Climb Ganh Ong hill to admire the green grass carpet, the unique cactus beach, and the vast sea and sky. This is an ideal place for camping or wedding photography.
Enjoy Seafood: Near Bai Xep, there are seafood restaurants serving Phu Yen delicacies such as tuna salad, tuna eye stewed with herbs, O Loan blood cockles, or squid hotpot. Reference price: VND 150,000-250,000/kg.
Visit Nearby Attractions: Combine exploring Ganh Da Dia (25 km away), Ganh Den, O Loan Lagoon, or Thanh Luong Pagoda to enrich your journey.
Experience Culture: Meet the people of the fishing village, learn about the Cau Ngu Festival or the simple life of the people of Phu Yen, influenced by Cham culture.
Safety: Wear non-slip shoes when climbing Ganh Ong or walking on rocks. Avoid swimming in areas with big waves and always monitor warnings from the local authorities.
Protect the Environment: Do not litter, especially on the grass and beach, to preserve the pristine beauty. Some tourists complain that garbage increases during the rainy season, so please contribute to protecting the landscape.
Preparation: Bring sunscreen, a hat, and drinking water because the area is quite sunny. There are not many restaurants near Bai Xep, so prepare snacks if you plan to picnic.
Accommodation: Tuy Hoa has many options such as Mandala Hotel & Spa (VND 1,355,000/night) or Rosa Alba Resort (5-star standard). Near Bai Xep, there are some small homestays, priced from VND 300,000-500,000/night.
Souvenirs: Buy specialties such as Phu Yen fish sauce, dried tuna, or Tam Quan pink cake as gifts.
