Ganh Da Dia (Phu Yen) – A Masterpiece of Creation

Ganh Da Dia, also known as Ghenh Da Dia, is one of Phu Yen's most famous attractions, recognized as a Special National Monument in 2020. Located in An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, about 35-40 km north of Tuy Hoa city center, Ganh Da Dia attracts thousands of visitors each year thanks to the unique and majestic beauty of hexagonal, round, or square basalt columns stacked tightly together like a giant honeycomb by the sea.

Formed from volcanic activity about 200 million years ago, erupting lava met cold seawater, combined with the phenomenon of force disjunction, creating strangely shaped, black and durable stone columns against the crashing waves. It is one of the five most beautiful rock reefs in the world, comparable to the Giant’s Causeway (Ireland) or Los Órganos (Spain).

Why Visit Ganh Da Dia?

  1. Unique Natural Beauty: The glossy black basalt columns, naturally stacked like a masterpiece of creation, create a majestic yet romantic scene. In particular, when the sunrise or sunset shines, Ganh Da Dia becomes shimmering with brilliant gold or pink hues.

  2. "Million-Like" Check-in Spot: With countless beautiful photo angles, from the rocks near the edge of the sea to the vast blue sea, this is a paradise for virtual living enthusiasts.

  3. Experience Local Culture: Visitors can interact with the authentic people of Phu Yen, enjoy fresh seafood, and participate in festivals such as the Cau Ngu Festival in February or August of the lunar calendar.
