Paradise Elegance Cruise Halong

It was well organised and they sticked to the schedule without any delay. Absolutely overpriced considering the price level of vietnam. My room had a terrible smell, like someone had smoked in there previously. After first night had a sore throat from it. Asked the staff if there is an option to change room. They said no. Instead they came with a spray bottle, entered my room when i had just come out of shower only wearing a towel, not even asking if ok. Sprayed fragrance twice and asked if now better. Of course not. The lady said she will see what she can do, only to completely ignore me at dinner. Had to ask her again. Then she said no she cant do anything. 5min later she suddenly said she does have a different room. Turns out there was plenty of other rooms vacant on 1st floor and the manager then changed my room, but her fake friendliness didnt hold up anymore and she was visibly annoyed that she had to give me another room. Upon checkout, the same lady that sprayed the room wituout much consideration knocked my door stating "sorry but you need to vacate the room now" it was 10am and schedule to get back to harbour was 10.30am. This lady definitely has not had any training in how to communicate in customer service. So all guests had to stand in lobby area together with all other people whilst staff was stripping the bedsheets already. This is not luxury service. I paid over 500eur for 2nights single occupancy. And once the cruise finished all the overly fake friendliness of the staff was gone and they started to make up the room for the next guest before we even left the boat. Also they charge for everything extra on board. Understand drinks are extra. But if you dont even get a still water with your wine, that's not normal. Overall the staff was very friendly but with some of them could tell it was not natural and it felt all fake.

Where do I begin? From the second you even get to the departure lounge to when you disembark the cruise it was luxury, comfort, professionalism, and quality. The price looks steep on paper, but it is worth every penny and more. We loved everything, the only negative was that it was too short. If I were to do it again I would do 3D 2N.

The luxury feel, the staff (especially Philip) the organisation, the wonderful meal and dinner service and attention to my vegetarian needs. The rooms were lovely and the bed was so comfortable. It was like being on the Titanic in the 1930's. So special. Water and drinks should be included at dinner.

Amazing cruise. Staff beyond expectations (Super professional and friendly). Buffet International Lunch and preordered Set Menu for dinner (Fine dining). Food on the cruise is 5 star. Better than most hotels in Vietnam. Full set of activities and the rooms are very nice and super comfortable. Very good water pressure in the shower. Its a floating 5 star hotel. Some rooms dont have kettle for coffee and limited wifi availability

Breakfast was good specially congee. I got sick while on board (upset stomach) Belle attended to me, She took very good care of me & checked on me in my cabin from time to time and brought me food & refreshments. the last excursion should have been first. The bigger cave with lots of stalactites, instead we had the Titop excursion first.

Fine dining promise was fulfilled. Felt great being catered to. The live band to set the mood and happy hour on the sun deck were a hit. Beautifully furnished rooms with a very comfy bed For the 2 night cruise Kayaking at the fishing village on day 2 is way better than Kayaking on day 1 - beautiful views. The 2 night cruise was relaxing and left enough time to enjoy the cruise experience. Would do it again. - The chance to wait at the beautiful hotel lounge and not at the port on drop off and pick up is very nice - most cruises have the same program. We left port at the same time, docked at the first stop at the same time. This Led to quite alot of foot traffic at the attractions. They could change up the schedule to have their guests enjoy more. if you prefer not waiting in line at most attractions book a private boat tour of halong bay - 2 night cruise participants were transferred to thr smaller and much older Paradise Explorer. The boat needs to be decommissioned - the fumes of diesel exhaust were not a very pleasant accompaniment to our meals. - Take a closer look at the drinks price list, it can be misunderstood: we ordered a bottle of wine thinking the price shown for bottles was indeed the bottle price. But it was the glass price - we got charged for 5 glasses of wine. A bit of a surprise when we got the bill.

Oh my goodness, I have never been on anything like it before - it exceeded all my expectations and more. Paradise Elegance was amazing - I should have done the 3 days 2 night tour. The food was amazing, the staff was exceptional, Henry and Bel in particular - I highly recommend this to everyone. Absolutely nothing.

Wonderful experience! The staff and the boat itself were both amazing. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The food was amazing and the views were stunning. The balcony on the room was lovely to sit on in the evenings. The drinks on board were a little pricey but it was to be expected. Happy hour had a smaller menu.

Everything was great on the boat, as you would expect for a luxury cruise. The only downside for us were the excursions. All the boats make the same stops at the same time which makes it difficult to enjoy (depending on your health and pace I guess).
